Professor Bong-Chan Kho is a Professor of Finance at Seoul National University Business School. He holds a BA and an MA in Business Administration from Seoul National University and a Ph.D. in Finance from the Ohio State University. His research spans Investments, Asset Pricing, Corporate Finance, Derivatives, and International Finance. He has published in top-tier journals such as the Journal of Financial Economics, the Review of Financial Studies, the American Economic Review, the Journal of Accounting Research, the Journal of Banking and Finance, and the Journal of Empirical Finance.
Professor Kho has held significant administrative and professional leadership roles. He served as an Associate Dean for the MBA Program, a Director of the Institute of Finance and Banking (IFB), and a Director of the Advanced Banking Program (ABP) at Seoul National University. He was the President of the Korean Securities Association (KSA) in 2017, and served as the editor of the Asia-Pacific Journal of Financial Studies (the first SSCI-listed finance journal in the Asia-Pacific region). Additionally, he served as Vice President of the Korea America Finance Association (KAFA), a board member for the Asia Finance Association (AsFA), and on the program committees of the Western Finance Association (WFA), the Financial Management Association (FMA), and the European Financial Management Association (EFMA). He also sat on the editorial boards of the Korean Securities Association, the Korea Finance Association, and the Korean Association of Futures and Options.
